If you want to build your name as an author globally you can't reach the world without the internet. Make the investment in yourself, it would be worth it. 6. Everyone is a customer. When talking to your potential readers remember everyone is a buyer. When you are selling a product you represent that product. When networking, always get business cards and emails to add in your data base. 7. Always have book promo material.Always carry a business card or advertising material. Invest in 4x6 flyers that have your book cover and purchase/contact information on them. When you go to an event you have to always be prepared.8. Plug your book.Never turn down an opportunity to plug your book. If you have an opportunity to speak about your book at a conference, workshop, college event, etc. go for it! This will build your reader base.9. Work with a publicist. Fnd a publicist to work with in preparing a publicity campaign. A strong campaign should run at least 2-3 months prior to your book release and 2-3 months after the release in supporting book sales opportunities.10.
